Filling the form work for concrete foundations used to be a tedious project often requiring carting wheelbarrow loads of cement one at a time. Modern foundations are filled by pumping the concrete into place. The pump truck is separate machine from the cement trucks we know. The cement trucks loads a hopper that collects the cement slurry and sends up through a giant tube to be directed where it is needed.
