At the end of the twentith century there was an exciting architectural scene in Sagaponack and Bridgehampton. This was about new single famliy homes built in the wide open farm fields near the beach. These homes mostly had a long low profile and have their roots in mid-century modern homes. Set on valuable land, some of theses homes have now been replaced.
