South Main Street is a rich source of fine homes. I love this classic New England Cape Linden Lane .  The chunky central chimney is typical of older homes where the fire place provided a warm core to the home. For reasons I do not understand an older home can feel right sitting much closer to the road than a new homes. Maybe this is because newer homes are set on higher foundations giving the home a more abrupt facade. The simple white fence defines a lovely cottage garden.
