Rose Hips

Rosa Rugosa is the local wild beach rose that seems to tolerate our sandy soils. This shrubby rose has open flat blooms in late spring that form these reddish fruits known as rose hips. The fruits are an excellent source on vitamin C and can be made into jelly or jam.
