Night Bloomers

I past years I have grown Moon Flowers for a dash of evening glow by the pool. Difficult to start and a short bloom cycle has prompted me to try white rose-of-sharon. As the shrub grows in I hope to convince it to stay flat to the wall. 

Crab Cakes- Maryland

This was my Tuesday post, for some reason it did not make it to the site.

For good crab cakes find fresh lump crab meat from the Mid-Atlantic region.
Do not bother if you can only find imported crab meat.

I start with the recipe from The American Heritage Cookbook.

Tips include using fresh white bread soaked in lite olive oil.

The eggs get separated, the whites are beaten, then folded into the crab mix before cooking. 

Clean Sweep

The house that was here got put in the dumpster. The property has a very fine view of a horse farm. I expect we will see a new larger home here soon.

The store Sylvester's located on Main St in Sag Harbor has an eclectic mix of home goods including this stylish retro kitchen.

A Night Out

Sag Harbor's movie theater is still the likely spot for art films.
