Rare Bird

This simple shingle beach cottage has become a rare site on the ocean front in the hamptons. Most homes like this have long been replaced by more modern designs.

Holding On

Snow fence is set out to catch blowing sand in an attempt to re-grow the dunes.

Exposed

When this home was built the owners were concerned that they would not have a view of the surf. Now that the dunes have been washed away I expect they have a more open view.

Lead Bottom

When the big snow hit, the ground was still very warm. After the snow fell it melted back up into newer show. This made digging out into heavy work. Here you can see the water saturating the snow base.

Spring ?

I spotted these snow drops in full bloom in the garden of my friends Bill and Dennis.

Flip Flop

The pool cover had a hard time with the big last two weeks ago. It seems that the high wind put most of the snow on one side causing the arch to pop. I have now reset the cover and all seems back in order.
