Invasion

 

I was surprised to see deer tracks at the beach today. I am not sure what they could find to eat there but they seem to look everywhere. 

January Thaw

After two weeks of sub freezing weather we have had 4 warm days in a row. Today with tempatures  in the low 50's we did a quick project. It was time to move my power line underground. With a great team we got the new cable planted in one day.

Big Surf

After yesterdays storm the surf was rocking today.

Bramble at Old Town Beach

Weeds and shrubs can show some nice colors in their bark in the winter.

Ice Age

Yes that is a paddle boarder Fergus Sloan of FMS Paddle Sports way out in the Peconic Bay. There was no wind and the bay this day and the water was very flat, but the water is also very cold with great chunks of ice floating in it.

Prize Catch

My buddy Roger scored the tackle box full of gear on line. This should make for a fun summer.

Even in winter this brick wall glows in the afternoon sun.
