Truck Muster

This morning I heard a classic fire siren, not the modern kind that sounds more like a battle from Star Wars. The weekend after Labor Day is the time slot for the annual Southampton Truck Muster, a wonderful show of antique firetrucks and related sport competitions.

Please Pass the Ketchup

This summer we rented to house to a succession of families . For some reason most tenants felt they needed a fresh bottle of Heinz. Not one picked out an alternate brand. Maybe we should have a ketchup party!

Packed Pots

These garden pots have been chock full of colorful blooms all summer long!

Red Sky at Night

The saying- 'Red sky at night, sailor's delight' does not pertain to the setting sun. 
To see the red sky in question, one looks away from the setting sun observing the eastern sky as the sun sets in the west. 

Nice Lunch

Harbor, Cove, Pond

This is Cold Spring Pond in Southampto, I guess Cold Spring Harbor was taken and it's too big to be a cove. The "pond" does open into the Peconic Bay. 

Holiday Car Show

It has been quite a car show this weekend. 

A1977 Porsche 911 with sporty blue wheels caught my eye.
