About a week after hurricane Sandy, a major nor'easter passed through. Hurricanes come from the south. A nor'easter blows down from the north. This recent storm left this sand bar at the surf's edge. If you went to a bar you can order a Nor'easter. A snappy cocktail; 2 oz bourbon, 1/2 oz lime juice, 1/2 oz maple syrup, shake and pour over ice in a high ball glass, top up with a bit of ginger beer.
