Early Bloomers

Tulip & star magnolias are often the first too bloom. My magnolia bloomed three times in one season and then it died. I guess it had a melt down.

New Focus

Last year I bought a bouquet of Pussy Willow. It was in the vase of water for a while and grew some roots. I planted the cuttings and this one grew and wintered over. 

Turn Around

It will not be long till this pool is telling a different story.

Vegan Pelt

I was curious about this bit of fur tacked to a branch in the woods. It turned out to be a section on lawn sod tossed there by a worker and freeze dried over the winter.

Tourist Guard

Stocked up with mulch bags, the local grocery looks like the store is bracing for a siege.

The 4TH is a long ways off yet.

Deer Food

There is not much to eat in a mature woods. Yards with lawns and gardens are the best thing that ever happened to deer.

Winter Colors

I am liking how these rocks look at the end of winter.

In summer their color will be less vibrant.

Mud & Foam

After a big storm the ocean might have nice waves but the churned up water is clouded and does not have the clarity and color I enjoy
