Beach Junk

The beach can be mysterious. Most days the beach is swept clean, just a mix of sand. Today the beach was covered with bits. Mostly big clam shells, but I did find one beach brick.

High Water

We have no rivers here in the Hamptons, very few streams. In some areas it turns out that the water table is just below the ground surface. In this woods these bogs appeared with just a 10 -15 inch drop in grade.

Sand Box

How do you put a swimming pool on a sand dune. Drive big pilings deep into the sand the put a giant concrete bathtub on top. Then ad a deck to connect the house to the pool.
