New Basics

It seems rare today to see a new construction of such modest proportions. Set in a most excellent location just steps to the ocean, this is all the house I would need.

Lots of sneezing in the air this fall. I am told that Goldenrod is often the culprit.

Purple Menace

In the late summer the Poke Weed makes some bright purple berries. When the birds eat the berries they can make a big mess. The bright red stem gives a hint of the bright color.

Storm Tides

After yesterdays day of storms a bit more beach got washed away. It seems to come & go all winter.

This barn inspired home on Gin Lane seems very special.

The water in the ocean seemed very warm yesterday for late September.

The first day of fall was a perfect beach day. The bird was a bonus.

There sees to be an abundance of blooms still.

Walkway

On older brick walkways the bricks are set higher in the middle of the walk. This crown creates a gutter on the sides for the water to drain off to.

Crazy Hedge

My mother says a garden is survival of the un-fittest in a controlled environment. When control stops an old hedge can go wild.

TiKi Torch

They don't give much light, they might repel bugs but they sure say summer party.

Swoosh

It's tricky to photo waves and keep your sneakers dry. Look out for the side swoosh that sneaks in from the side

The surf looked very special today, it was so clear out today.

Invasion

Sneaky stuff. I cut some unwanted vines at the base of my holly tree. It turns out my tree was far more overcome with the weed than I could have imagined. After the cut a great quantity of dead leaves surfaced.

After a rainy day they are saying good sun tomorrow.

The Romany Kramoris Gallery on Main St in Sag Harbor has a great range of artists this season.

The present show by Sheryl Budnik is a knock-out.

All the prices in the gallery seemed very reasonable with some painting starting at $60.00.

Grade Crossing

RT 27 is the main artery in the Hamptons. This grade crossing can bring traffic to a grinding stop. Lookout here comes the train.
