El Morocco

The El Morocco Lounge was a popular night club in NYC from the 1030s into the 1050s.

A home on First Neck Lane had a replica of the lounge in the homes cellar.

This newer stair carpet might be a reference to either lounge.

I was very impressed with this parking lot of Belgium Block and grass. The stone blocks prevent wheels from making ruts or wear.

Up In the Sun

Someone once told me waterlily blooms sit on the water and lotus blooms project above the water line. With lotus you also get those nice seed pods.

Hump Hedge on Hump Day

This arched hedge frames a stylish entrance to this garden.

Beach Stickers

Each year the local towns & villages issue a new permit for beach parking. The permit is a sticker attached to the glass. Each year this sticker is a new color. Many people like to post the history of beaching.

Summer Blooms

Most plants bloom in late spring so they can make good seeds by summer. By August most gardens have peaked and blooms can be hard to come by. The Rose of Sharon from the hibiscus family come in a range of pink & white combinations.

This very sporty Ford V8 was parked by the Chase Bank today, all set for a get-a-way.

I was in Water Mill for an oil change. This vintage 1951 pick-up was parked in the lot.

Instant Gardens

Traffic waits as large trees are moved onto the property of a new home. These big trees will provide a lot of screening for both sides.

Hamptons Night Life

The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is a very nice venue. I would be on the lookout for their fine roster performers.
