I think this spurt happens when a wave has two converging angles and they meet up.

Summer Colors

The garden field at the corner of Wickapogue & Old Town Road is coming in strong this year now that the plants are more established. This field is fortified with a good base of perennials.

Veggies

These nice baskets crammed with a good mix of vegetables seemed a very nice presentation. Selections included cauliflower, zucchini, dikon, carrots, celery, radish, green beans, asparagus and more!

Sporty Travel

In 1972 for a few extra bucks you could get this sporty VW as an alternative to their more popular Beetle. This sporty model had stiff competition from Triumph and MG. Datsun and BMW were the new kids on the block.

Jungle

The ornamental rhubarb has really spread out this summer eating almost half of the back yard. I can't imagine that we used to mow back here.

Exotic in my Garden

Rothschild lilies, last year after planting the bulbs I pulled the plants by accident. This year I have nice vine growing up into a neighboring shrub.

TWO BIG ART SHOWS

Two big art shows opened in Bridgehampton tonight. The show on the polo grounds greets one with a nice gallery of Jane Freilicher orks shown by Tibor de Nagy. Most of the show presents a range of works from the gallery.

Hip in Southampton

For a bit of Palm Springs mid century style in the Hamptons stop by Deserted ART located at 38 Main Street in Southampton Village. Great style in mint condition.

New like Old

Barn style. Most of the barns in our area are potato barns. Long low structures designed to resemble root cellars for the storage of tubers. This restored barn on the grounds of the Southampton Historical Society is intended for dry airy above ground storage.

Hampton Valley

Prior to going away I stock up on Hamptons photos. At times I post a photo of where I am. This sunset is actually in the Hudson Valley.

Winter Survivor

I was told that this bloom is on a Lemon Magnolia, the scent was exceptional. This was a rough winter for Magnolias.

Red Car

The Fourth of July also marks the start of hedge trimming season. You can just spot a bit of red through the right hand section of this perfect hedge.
